History of the route

If you’re a wine and motorcycle lover, this is the perfect experience for you!

You’ll have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the production process of the renowned Mediterranean wines that have earned such high ratings in the renowned magazine The Wine Advocate (authored by the renowned Robert Parker).

We’ll discover the different production methods in our region, visiting renowned wineries with international acclaim, such as Enrique Mendoza and Hispano-Suizas, as well as smaller but no less interesting ones, such as Bodegas Terra D’Art and Celler les Foes.

And among so many vines and so many wineries, we will not miss a single detail of the beautiful cities and towns that the route will offer us, such as Requena and its landscape full of vineyards, Peñíscola and its walled fortress, Fontanars dels Alforins and its beautiful landscapes very similar to those of Tuscany, Chelva and its peak of Remedio, with beautiful views of Valencia and of course, Jávea and Denia and their beautiful coves and beaches on the edge of the majestic Montgó.

This experience is fantastic because 75% of the route runs along quiet secondary roads, perfect for a motorcycle trip; it also includes visits to five fascinating Mediterranean wineries, as well as a medieval castle or walled city; and, of course, its unique landscapes filled with vineyards…

Day 1 – Sunday. 70 km

Airport pickup.
Briefing and welcome dinner in the evening.
Night in Valencia or surrounding areas.

Day 2 – Monday. 215 km

Route from Valencia to Requena.
Visit to the Hispano-Suizas winery.
Picnic along the route included.
Typical 25-minute nap.
Dinner with wine tasting in Valencia.
Night in Valencia or surrounding areas.

Day 3 – Tuesday. 175 Km

Route through the Maestrazgo region, in Castellón.
Visit to a winery using the natural Bio-dynamic method.
Paella and show cooking at the winery.
Typical 25-minute nap.
Special tapas dinner; the best tapas in Valencia.
Night in Valencia or surrounding areas.

Day 4 – Wednesday. 175 km

Route to Alfaz del Pi (Alicante)
Visits to the Enrique Mendoza Winery.
Picnic during the route included.
Typical 25-minute nap.
Visits to the best beaches and coves in Jávea and Moraira.
Dinner with wine tasting in Denia.
Night in Denia in a charming hotel.

Day 5 – Thursday. 250 km

Route through the Sierra Calderona and Sierra Espadán Natural Parks.
Fish rice in Burriana.
Typical 25-minute nap.
Visit to the Horchata Museum in the afternoon.
Light dinner.
Night in a charming hotel in Alicante.

Day 6 – Friday. 200 km

Route to Chelva and Ahillas.
Ascent to Pico del Remedio.
Visit to the Terra D’Art in Ahillas.
Rice soup in Higueruelas.
Typical 25-minute nap.
Farewell dinner in Náquera.
Night in Valencia or surrounding areas.

Day 7 – Saturday. 70 km

Visit to the historic center of Valencia (depending on flight schedules…)
Transfer to the airport.
